So, we already know that
Monday, I was feeling pretty sore and worn down from my work out the night
before but Monday night, I got home late from being at a Softball game with my
sister and it was time for our second workout. We worked on Plyometrics and let me just tell you, this is the most
intense workout that I have ever done! Dad and I actually only made it about
halfway through!
There were lunges, squats and jumping, lots and
lots of jumping!!! By the time I was finished with this workout, I swore my
legs were rubber! I could barely walk a straight line! This workout was so
quick, so intense and so involved that I started to question my sanity of
wanting to start this workout in the first place!
Because we only finished half of the workout, I
didn’t feel quite as accomplished but I felt good that I pushed myself to do
the workout even though it was late at night and I was tired. I think that has
been one of my largest setbacks in the past. I let the craziness of life get in
my way of getting healthy. I am almost always tired by the end of my work day
and in the past I would make excuses that I didn’t feel like working out, I was
tired, and I just didn’t want to do it. That is what I love about working out
with my dad! He keeps me going when I want to quit. We have this accountability
with each other where we aren’t going to let the other fail!!
I didn’t really
keep up with a diet but I did chose to make dinner at home before the softball
game instead of choosing to eat at the game where all they would have are
cheeseburgers or hot dogs. My thoughts are, if I am going to work out hard, I don’t
want to ruin it by unhealthy eating! I am not killing myself in these workouts
to just undo it for simple and convenient eating!!!
One day at a
time…
